Anthony Gormley's Another Place on Crosby Beach, Liverpool
I've just got back from being up north, and visited Anthony Gormley's Another Place on Crosby Beach.
Its been around for a little while now and the iron sculptures of Gormley have weathered nicely, complete with barnacles and sea weed, they have come alive with the sea.

I think these statues are quite amazing. But when I saw the head and leg shots, I cringed and the hair on my arms stood. Seriously, it looks like a sculpture of an individual with a horrible skin disease. Blistering barnacles indeed!
ReplyDeleteNo way! :) I love the barnacles and sea weed. The sea is taking over and engulfing the sculptures, I wonder how many years it will take before the arms start falling off! Glad you liked them though.
