I'm really loving the graphic style of Jimmy Turrell's work. An amazing combination of bold statements, colour, composition and style. Turrell is also a part of a collaborative group called Primitive Heritage, check out their stuff.

Throughout February, a collection of Hastings-based artists and designers will be offering their wares for sale in the YCN Shop & Library at 72 Rivington

YCN curator Lucy Kenyon says: “We visited Hastings last year as a team, and were dazzled by the output of its artists and designers. Hastings is one of the most curious and charming of England’s seaside towns. It’s an honour to host this group, and we hope to please as many people as possible with their products ”.
All products can be seen and bought in the YCN Shop & Library at 72 Rivington Street from 6th to 29th February. Open weekdays from 10am to 6pm, weekends 11am to 4pm.
I love this short film showing a 'typographic synthesizer' at work! The film was created by Meek FM
"The Typographic Synthesizer was developed by Rob Meek and Frank Müller. The combination of a custom built hardware controller and software generates new shapes and sounds out of pre-installed typeface vectors.Like a real musical synthesizer the Meek FM can shape and modify forms (+ sounds) with several parameters. This device shows that there are still a lot of untouched possibilies in realtime graphical instruments".
