Arcade fire: We used to wait (The Wilderness Downtown) : HTML5 experiment

Arcade fire have recently launched an innovative experiment using HTML5. Entitled The 'The Wilderness Downtown' the multi-view interactive windows play out a video based on information from Google Maps, using your home postcode you can watch an eerie video made up of recognisable images.

"These modern web technologies have helped us craft an experience that is personalised and unique for each viewer, as you virtually run through the streets where you grew up," said Thomas Gayno, Google Creative Lab.

Visit Arcade Fire's website to view it for yourself. It's pretty impressive for an experimental video, who knows what will come next as HTML5 becomes mainstream.
